TILTON — The Post 210 Junior Gold baseball team did just enough to win the first game of a doubleheader against Casey Legion on Thursday, but then poured on the offense in the second to get the sweep.
The Junior Speakers won the first game 2-0 and then the second game 13-3 in four innings.
In the first game, Garrett Drake got the win with seven strikeouts and only gave up two hits. Iggy First and Isaiah Ruch each had a hit, while Christian Masterman and Derek Drayer each scored a run.
In the second, game, the Junior Speakers were down 3-2, but scored 11 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to end the game. Ruch had two doubles and three RBIs, while Jacob Spear had three RBIs, Luke Johnson had two RBIs, Masterman had a RBI and Ethan Edwards had two hits.
The Junior Speakers will travel to Eureka on Saturday.
Dans to host baseball camp
DANVILLE — The Danville Dans will hold camps in June and July at Danville Stadium.
The first camp will run from June 26-27 from 9 a.m.-noon, July 1-2 from 9 a.m.-noon and July 9-10 from 9 a.m.-noon.
In the camps, the Dans' coaches and team will help players improve skills by teaching new drills, mechanics and strategies. The camp is ideal for school-aged players looking for a well-rounded experience.
Cost for one child in a family if $70 and $60 for each additional child.

Sports Media Camp
DANVILLE — Neuhoff Media will be hosting a sports media camp for kids at Danville Area Community College the week of June 24.
The camp is for boys and girls entering the seventh through 12th grades and will run through 1-4 p.m. each day with extra sessions at Danville Stadium on Wednesday and Thursday night of that week.
The camp is an interactive program with skills focused on writing, play-by-play, PA, public speaking, TV, video, games, trivia and more.
This year students will interview a former Big Ten & NFL player, an audio director for the Olympics, NBA, Major League Baseball and World Cup soccer. The students will talk with the former head of CBS Radio plus learn the tricks of the trade from a nationally known sports writer and more.
The cost of the camp is $65 and there are scholarships available for students of financial need.

Covington soccer league signups
COVINGTON, Ind. — The Covington Youth Soccer League will have sign-ups for the upcoming season through June and July.
There will be signings at the large pavilion in City Park on June 20 from 6-8 p.m. Eastern time; at County Market on June 22 from 10 a.m.-noon; and at the Fourth of July Celebration behind Fulton Pavilion from July 1-3 from 6-8 p.m. on all three nights.
Registration fees which include jersey and socks are $50 for a child, $80 for two children and $105 for three and each additional child is $25 per child. Sample jersey will be provided at sign-ups to ensure correct sizing.
