RANTOUL — Quemarii Williams won two events for the Danville boys track team and Ameia Wilson won three events for the girls track team as both teams finished in the top five at the First to the Finish Rantoul Invite on Saturday.
Williams won the 800 meter run in 2 minutes, 2.08 seconds and the 200 meter dash in 22.40 for the Vikings, while David Moss was third in the 200 (23.68) and the triple jump (40 feet, 11 inches), Eric Turner was fourth in the 60 hurdles (8.90), Noah Hile was sixth in the 1,600 run (4:53.57), Sincere Felton was seventh in the 60 hurdles (9.22) while Ricky Oakley was eighth (4:58.68), Oshar Wilson was seventh in the 400 (54.55).
The 800 relay ream for Danville was third (1:36.72), while the 1,600 team took fifth (3:44.45)
Wilson won the 60 dash (7.70), the 200 (24.97) and the long jump (18-1 1/2) for Danville, who was fourth. Hallee Thomas was second in the 60 hurdles (9.34) while teammate Lynae Ward took fifth (10.20), Thomas was also fifth in the pole vault (9-0), Latora Baker took fourth in the 200 (28.00)
The girls 800 relay team won with a time 1:49.18
In the boys meet, Salt Fork made its presence known with a sixth-place finish. Caine Wilson won the 60 hurdles (8.44) while Payton Taylor won the shot put with a throw of 51-9.75. Dawson Rogers was second in the 800 (2:02.95), Wilson was third in the 400 (52.29), Owen Carder was sixth in the shot put (44-1/2). The 1,600 relay teas was third (3:40.89)
In the girls meet, Chrisman/Georgetown-Ridge Farm was 15th with Quinci Snedeker taking sixth in the 400 (1:04.79) and Brooke Robertson took fourth in the shot put (36-9.5).
PREP BOYS BASKETBALL
Orr and St. Mel win titles
PEORIA — Chicago Orr won their second straight IHSA Class 2A title with a 50-36 win over Nashville.
Sherif Kenney had 19 points for Orr, while Greg Outlaw and TuJautae Williams each had 10 points.
In Class 1A, Providence St. Mel beat Cissna Park 52-29. Tyriel Nelson had 15 points, while Deion Jackson added 13 for Providence St. Mel

DANVILLE — After an overtime win on Friday, the Dashers made sure that would not happen again.
Brandon Contratto had two goals and a assist for Danville, while Dustin Henning and Daniel Martin each had a goal and two assists. Fred Hein, Jared Henderson and Eric Masters each had one goal, while Nathan Campbell had three assists, and Taylor Cutting, Hein, Patrik Zilak, Brian Dunford and Alex Pommerville each had one assist.
The Dashers will go on the road to finish the weekend series with the Ice Breakers today.
