COVINGTON, Ind. — The Covington volleyball team faced getting swept by Parke Heritage on Tuesday, but battled back to win 22-25, 18-25, 25-14, 25-14, 15-10.
Lauren O’Neill had 12 kills and nine blocks for the Trojans, while Na’ia Pettit had 10 kills and nine digs, Holly Linville had nine kills and three blocks and Erin Reynolds had 29 digs and three aces.
Covington is 8-3 and 3-0 in the Wabash River Conference and will host South Vermillion on Thursday.
Westville 2, Armstrong-Potomac 0
WESTVILLE — Maizy Lawnicki had seven kills and 11 digs as the Tigers swept the Trojans 25-22, 25-20.
Taylor Milholland had three kills and nine digs for Westville, while Corinn Crippin had seven kills, an block and a ace, Jasmyn Meeker had 11 assists and five kills and Madison Heffern added nine digs and eight assists.
Emma Franzen had eight kills, 11 digs and a ace for Armstrong-Potomac, while Lily Jameson had 14 assists and Mattie Kennell had six kills.
Watseka 2, Hoopeston Area 0
WATSEKA — The Cornjerkers could not get past the Warriors, losing 25-11, 25-18.
Hoopeston Area will face Westville on Thursday.

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. — Stella Jones had 17 kills as the Mustangs defeated North Montgomery 22-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-17.
Alexis Griffin had eight kills, four aces and 23 digs for Fountain Central, while Reagan Oswalt had five kills and five blocks, Marley Massey had 31 digs and two aces and Lillie Fishero had 23 assists and three aces.

OAKWOOD — With the heat making the race an non-scoring co-ed race, Oakwood/Salt Fork and Armstrong-Potomac raced against St. Joseph-Ogden and Kickapoo State Park.
Marshall Gutauskas had the highest local finish, taking third with a time of 13 minutes, 3 seconds for A-P, while Ethan Brewer had the highest boys finish for OSF at 15:02.
Grace Davis had the highest local girls finish and highest finish for OSF with a time of 14:44, Carlyn Crozier had a time of 16:50.15 for Armstrong-Potomac.
Seeger prevails in triangular
OXFORD, Ind. — Kaylee Kerr shot a 44 as the Patriots beat out Benton Central and Rensselaer in a meet at Oak Grove Golf Course.
Meghan Beyer had a 45 for Seeger, while Emily Bowen had a 50 and Jude Hunter added a 52.

WATSEKA — Izaiah Lusk had a score of 42 as the Blue Devils took second to Watseka in a meet with Westville at Shewami Golf Course.
Kevin Clapp had a 43 for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, while Michael Chocola had a 45 and Issac Tabels added a 50.
Kenny Clarkston led Westville with a 49, while Jack Duensing had a 50, Noah Cross had a 54 and Ty Williamson shot a 56.

DANVILLE — Brady Tevebaugh had three goals as the Comets shut out the Hilltoppers.
Colin Merritt had a goal and two assists for Oakwood/Salt Fork, while Joe Lashuay had a goal and Reef Pacot had an assists.
Chris Winkler had two saves in goal for the Comets, who are 3-3-1.
Jason Craig and Alex Lewis combined for 13 saves in goal for Schlarman Academy.

HOOPESTON — Rhys Root and Cameron Flint each had two goals and a assist as the Cornjerkers shutout the Buffaloes.
Neil Williams had a goal and three assists for Hoopeston Area, while Josh Delfino had a goal and a assist and Lucas Hofer added a goal.
The Cornjerkers are 6-0-1 and will face Oakwood on Thursday.

RANTOUL — Drew Reifsteck had two goals and a assist as the Blue Devils grounded the Eagles.
Keanu King and Cameron Douglass each had a goal and a assist for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, while Liam Oxendine, Andrew Tingley and Ethan Tutweiler each had a goal and Garrett Huls had three saves in goal.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — Trece Claypool had the lone goal as the Trojans fell to Terre Haute South.
Logan Pinkerton had the assist for Covington, while Cole McLain had 12 saves in goal.
The Trojans drop to 5-3 overall.

COVINGTON, Ind. — The doubles teams of Nolan Potter and Eli Batley and Nick Turner and Jackson Kindell each got wins as the Trojans beat North Montgomery.
Calvin Springer and Evan Norton won in singles for Covington, who is 4-5 overall.

ATTICA, Ind. — THe doubbles teams of Logan McFatridge and Drew Holland and Kaiden Peterson and Colin Ford won as the Patriots beat the Red Ramblers.
Peyton Laffoon and Trey Brooks-Ellis win in singles for Seeger.

GIBSON CITY — The Vikings could not win a match as they were swept by the Falcons.
The closest Danville vame to a win was in No. 3 doubles, where the team of Lauren Shillo and Kedzie Griffin lost 8-5.
The Vikings will now play the Purple Raider Invitational on Saturday.
