The Westville Tigers battled back to take fifth place in the St. Joseph-Ogden Leader Classic with a 50-48 win over the Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers.

Eli Williams scored a game-high 21 points.

Brandon Glascott followed with 17 points.

Jordan Barney put in eight points and Jacob Attutis added four for the Tigers.

Tyler Overstreet scored a team-high 20 points for PBL.

The Tigers jumped out to an early nine-point first quarter lead, but the Panthers rallied in the second quarter to take a five point lead into halftime.

It was Westville’s turn to rally, trailing by two at the end of three quarters of play.

Part of Westville’s rally came from the free throw line. The team made 9-of-12 from the charity stripe in the fourth quarter. They only missed five free throws all game.

Eli Williams was named to the All-Tournament team.

ST. JOSEPH — The Blue Devils got past the Trojans in the St. Joseph Leader Classic.

Brent Markwalder scored a game high 22 points.

Markwalder was named to the All-Tournament team.

The Trojans finished eighth in the tournament.

Shiloh 40

BISMARCK — The Blue Devils had five players scoring in double-digits as they defeated Shiloh 77-40 in a non-conference game.

David Ingram scored a game high 17 points.

Trey McCorkle followed with 16 points. Michael Grant put in 15 points, including three 3-point shots.

Brandon Roberts and Michael Davan added 13 and 12 respectively.

The Blue Devils (10-0) will play in the Hayden’s Tournament next week.
