MENTOR, Ohio — After a rough loss at home, the Danville Dashers went on the road to get revenge on the Mentor Ice Breakers.

Both teams scored a goal in the first period and it was scoreless for the rest of the game before going to a shootout.

In the shootout, AJ Tesoriero scored the only goal as the Dashers would beat the Ice Breakers 2-1.

Fred Hein scored the lone goal in the first period for Danville, while Seth Ensor and Jesse Neher assisted on the goal.

Jesse Gordichuk had 31 saves in goal for the Dashers, who will host the Battle Creek Rumble Bees on Friday.

South Newton 57, North Vermillion 41

CAYUGA, Ind. — Ethan Watson had 15 points, but the Falcons lost at home to South Newton.

Dalton Thomas had 13 points for North Vermillion, while Landon Naylor added six points.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS — The Jaguars got out of winter break on the right foot with a win on the road.

Danville Area Community College will host Illinois Valley Community College on Tuesday at Mary Miller Gym.

Colorado State 72, Wyoming 61

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Danville native Kendle Moore had 11 points and two assists as the Rams beat the Cowboys.

Colorado State is 10-7 and 1-3 in the Mountain West and will take on San Jose State on Saturday.
