BISMARCK — The Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin football team once again took a big lead at halftime and would cruise to a 49-13 win over Momence on Friday in non-conference action.
Caleb Lahey had seven rushes for 116 yards and two scores, including a 59-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. Weston Strawser had 65 yards and a score and Jacob Akins had 45 yards and a scores.
Blue Devil quarterback Avery McConkey backed up a five-touchdown performance last week with three more scoring strikes against the Redskins. He throw a pass to Lahey for a 45-yard score to start the game and would later connect with Strawser for a 25-yard score and Dawson Dodd for a 58-yard score.
The Blue Devils are 2-0 and will start Vermilion Valley Conference action next week against Hoopeston Area/Armstrong-Potomac.
Oakwood 35, Warrensburg-Latham 7
FITHIAN — After a close loss to Watseka last week, the Comets rebounded in a big way against Warrensburg-Latham.
Oakwood is now 1-1 and will play Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville next week.

PAXTON — The Buffaloes could not get anything started as they lost to the Panthers on the road.
Georgetown-Ridge Farm will try to regroup next week as they start VVC action against Salt Fork.
Watseka 35, Salt Fork 7
WATSEKA — The Warriors build a 28-0 lead before the Storm got on board and would go on to win in non-conference action.
Tate Johnson got the lone score for Salt Fork with a 95-yard kickoff return in the fourth quarter to avoid the shutout. Johnson had 56 yards on the ground, while Kieler Bennett passed for 67 yards.
Iroquois West 32, HAAP 0
HOOPESTON — The Cornjerkers could not even their record as they were shut out for the second straight week.
Hoopeston Area/Armstrong-Potomac will start VVC action next week against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin.
Attica 36, Seeger 20
ATTICA, Ind. — The Patriots had a 20-12 halftime lead, but the Red Ramblers would scored 24 unanswered points to get the win.
Tristan Bahrns had 132 yards with two scores for Seeger, while Khal Stephen passed for a 31-yard touchdown to Hunter Garrison.
Eli Kirkpatrick ran for 122 yards and three scores for Attica nd passed for two more touchodwns.
The Patriots are 1-2 and 0-2 in the Wabash River Conference and will travel to Riverton Parke next week. The Red Ramblers are 3-0 and 2-0 in the WRC and will play Parke Heritage next week.
Eastern Hancock 48, Fountain Central 14
VEEDERSBURG, Ind. — The Mustangs could not battle back in non-conference action against Eastern Hancock.
Fountain Central will travel to Covington next week.
Local teams compete in Viking invite
DANVILLE — The Viking Invitational brought out 18 teams to Turtle Run Golf Course.
While Normal Community won the team title, Schlarman Academy had the lowest local finish with a score of 362 to take 12th.
Gabe Huddleston was 10th with a score of 79 for the Hilltoppers, while Rance Bryant had a 88, Mark Lukas had a 97 and Jeff Christison had a 98.
Danivlle was 14th at 389. Frederico Sartori had a 87 for the host Vikings, while Andrew Kittell had a 90, Jaren Hotsinpiller hada 98 and Robbie Jareuski added a 114.
Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin was right behind Danville at 390 with Kevin Clapp leading the way with an 85 and Oakwood was 18th with Logen Hoshauer scoring an 85.
DACC competes at EIU meet
CHARLESTON — The Jaguars’ men and women’s teams competed at the Walt Crawford meet at Eastern Illinois University.
The men’s team did not have a team score as Ethan Barnes took 34th for Danville Area Community College (34:00), while Carsen White was 35th (34:16) and Kyle Little took 37th (35:03).
The girls team took sixth as a team as Christina Oakley took 37th (23:28), Marissa Uplinger was 39th (23:48), Olivia Trask took 42nd (24:21, Carlee Richardson was 43rd (24:39) and Morgan Bilstadt took 49th (28:17).
