Milford wrapped up the Iroquois West Christmas Tournament title on Wednesday with a 43-28 win over Serscher.

Milford started the tournament on Saturday by beating Fisher (60-37) and Iroquois West (47-32). They also defeated Beecher on Monday (44-27).

Allison Kelnhofer had a game high of 14 points for Milford. Kristin Estay added eight points.

Kelnhofer also had seven rebounds and eight steals, while Estay also had seven rebounds and eight assists.

Milford started the game out in the first quarter with a 12-6 lead, but they were outscored 32-25 the rest of the game, but that did not stop them from taking the first place finish in the tournament.

Hoopeston Area 27

DONOVAN — Hoopeston Area’s Katelin Sheppard had a game-high nine points, but it wasn’t enough for the Cornjerkers to win overcome Grant Park.

Ariel Hardcastle added eight points and had five assists, while Carrie McCormick had a game high nine rebounds.

Hoopeston Area will play tomorrow in the Donovan Holiday Tournament against Buckley Christ at 4 p.m.



Westville 39

ST. JOSEPH — In the St. Joseph-Ogden Leader Classic, the Tigers got past the Trojans.

Westville was led by Eli Williams with 12 points, while Jordan Barney added nine and Brandon Glascott added seven.

Armstrong-Potomac’s Brent Markwalder had a team-high of 13 points, while Tyler Farmer added 12, but it was not enough to beat the Tigers.

Both teams will play in the Leader Classic on Friday. Armstrong-Potomac will play in the seventh-place game at 1 p.m. against Villa Grove and Westville play in the fifth-place game at 2:30 p.m. against Paxton-Buckley-Loda.
