The Danville Lady Vikings took fourth place in the Peoria Manual Holiday tournament as they lost to Quincy 64-51.

Shadonna Beard led the Lady Vikings with 15 points and was named to the all tournament team.

Chelsey Miller put in 14 points for the Lady Vikings.

Quincy (7-7) was 20-of-25 from the free throw line and that proved to be a deciding factor in the game.

“We had a sluggish second quarter,” Danville coach Chuck Miller said.

“We fought back and showed some heart.”

Danville (10-5) will travel to Champaign Central on Thursday.

FRANKFORT, Ind. — The Attica Lady Red Ramblers couldn’t muster enough offense against the Northwestern Lady Tigers as they fell 61-29 in the Frankfort HotDog Tournament.

Brittany Rayburn scored 14 points, shooting 5-of-17 from the field and 3-of-6 from the stripe.

Steffi Rayburn added five points and eight rebounds.

Northwestern (10-0) hasn’t lost a game since the sectionals on Feb. 11, 2006.

Winchester 73

Attica 71 (OT)

FRANKFORT, Ind. — The Lady Red Ramblers tried to bounce back in their second game of the Frankfort tournament, but came up short as they fell to Winchester 73-71 in overtime.

Brittany Rayburn scored a game high 46 points, shooting 18-of-36 from the field and 6-of-8 from the stripe. Rayburn also had six steals.

Kylee Troike added nine points and Mary Mattern put in eight.

The Lady Red Ramblers (5-4) will face Wheeler (10-2) at Valparaiso University on Monday.

Bismarck-Henning goes 2-2 at meet

CHAMPAIGN — The Bismarck-Henning Blue Devils won two matches and lost two matches at St. Thomas More.

The Blue Devils defeated Dwight 56-14 and Lawrenceville 64-15 and lost to Willington 48-17 and Vandalia 37-24.

In the match versus Dwight, every weight class won, except the 145, 160 and 171 classes.

In the Lawrenceville match the 171, 189 and 275 weight classes lost.

Andy Jones (112) was 3-of-4 on the day with two pins and a win by forfeit.

Damen Hillery (189) wrestled in three matches and won all three.
