DANVILLE — For the first time since the 2015-16 season, the Danville Area Community College Lady Jaguars are enjoying the spoils of three-game winning streak.

Danville Area Community College improved to 4-7 overall and 3-0 since the calendar flipped to 2020 with a 71-67 triumph over St. Mary of the Woods on Wednesday night at Dick Shockey Court inside the Mary Miller Complex.

Tarneisha Young was the leading scorer for the Lady Jaguars with 21 points, while Lauryn Wiley added 15 points to go along with her 14 rebounds. Other scores in double digits for DACC were Maria Falanga with 11 and former Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin standout had a season-high 10.

The DACC women are back in action on Friday with a road game against Greenville College. The next home contest for the Lady Jaguars will be Jan. 25 against Illinois Central College. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
