It was my impression the city’s gasoline tax increase was to be used for street work, not studies.
The streets in Danville need more than patching. East Williams Street, Penn-sylvania Street and South Bowman Avenue are among those that need repair, just to name a few.
Raising yard waste fees is out of line. The city is penalizing people who are interested in recycling yard waste.
Why not fine those who cannot take care of their yards?
Also, the people who do not use the toters properly or those who light illegal fires are out of line, also. Fine them, too.
