WESTVILLE – Additional police presence will be seen around Westville High School the next couple of days after district officials were made aware of an alleged threat to school safety on Monday.
Superintendent Seth Miller said a Westville High School teacher “became aware of a threat” and reported it shortly before noon Monday.
School administrators immediately notified the Westville Police Department, which responded and investigated the threat.
After their investigation, Westville police officers reported “they were confident that neither students nor the school were in danger at any point, and they were confident they had addressed and contained the situation,” Miller said.
Miller thanked the Westville Police Department for its swift response in both the investigation and action to confirm and protect student safety.
