DANVILLE — A shooting has landed yet another man in the hospital.

Danville police responded at 8:41 p.m. Tuesday to the OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center emergency room in reference to a victim with a gunshot wound.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with an 18-year-old Danville man who was being treated for a non-life threatening wound to his lower leg, according to a press release issued Wednesday morning by Police Commander Joshua Webb.

The victim stated he was on foot in the area of Holiday Drive and Bowman Avenue when shots were fired from a white-colored vehicle. The victim said he was struck and then ran from the area. He later called friends who took him to the hospital for treatment.

The victim was unable to provide any suspect description for the incident.
