OAKWOOD — With the theme, “Carnival Lights and Country Nights,” the Vermilion County Fair continues at the fairgrounds off U.S. Route 150 west of Danville.

The popular unlimited access to the carnival with a $6 gate admission returns. That price also gives fair-goers access to the barnyard races, temporary tattoos, face painting, music and other activities.

GENERAL SCHEDULE

• The carnival is open from noon to 11 p.m. today, and at noon Sunday, with closing time to be determined later.

The 4-H Hospitality Barn is open daily.

9 a.m. — 4-H dog obedience show

9:30 a.m. — Open beef check-in

11 a.m. — 4-H cat care show

11 a.m. — Open beef show

11-11:45 a.m. — Baby contest registration

Noon — Baby contest

Noon— 4-H small pet care show

Noon — IBRA-approved barrel show

1 p.m. — Ag Olympics

4 p.m. — Talent show

5 p.m. — Open gilt and barrow show

6 p.m. —Open Mic Night with Curt Phelps; free

7 p.m. — Stadium motocross

10 a.m. — Nondenominational church service on the grass

1-3 p.m. — Open show projects released

4 p.m. — Demo Derby

• Stadium Motocross, 7 p.m. tonight; pits — $15, adults; $10, ages 10 and under; grandstand — $9, adults, and $4, age 10 and younger.

• Demo Derby, 4 p.m. Sunday; $20; pits open at 1 p.m.; $20 pit pass. Grandstand — $7, adults and $5, 10 and younger.
