The Vermilion County Rape Crisis Center is looking for individuals with an interest in helping those affected by sexual violence. Volunteers may work for the 24-hour hotline and respond to crisis calls, fundraise, or administer prevention education.

Training will begin its volunteer training Sept. 13 and run through Oct. 7. Sessions will take place on two Saturdays, Thursdays, and Tuesdays.

Volunteers must be 18 years of age, pass criminal and DCFS background checks, have a driver’s license and reliable transportation, and telephone service.
