Hoopeston Fire Department was dispatched to the area of the 100 block of East Thompson Street for smoke showing at 8:11 p.m. Crews discovered a working fire once on scene.

Theft in the 100 block of North Guthrie Street, Rankin.

Criminal damage in the 500 block of Kentucky Avenue, Westville.

Burglary to a residence, theft in the 100 block of Smith Street, Westville.

Saturday, 10:43 a.m. – In the 200 block of East Williams Street involving Steven J. Akins Jr. and Joe W. Butler, both of Danville. Akins was ticketed for operating an uninsured vehicle and following too closely.

Saturday, 8:26 p.m. – At North Gilbert and West Davis streets involving James L. Hittlet of Tilton and Jerry R. Lindquist of Danville. Hittlet was ticketed for failure to signal.

Saturday, 4:58 a.m. – In the 3100 block of East Main Street involving Aaron D. Eaton and James A. White, both of Danville. Eaton was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Friday, 9:39 p.m. – In the 200 block of West Myers Street in Tilton involving Evan J.A. Shade of Georgetown and Rochelle L. Jones of Tilton. Jones was ticketed for failure to reduce speed/too fast for conditions, no valid insurance and use of electronic device without hands free.

Friday, 4:10 p.m. – In the 600 block of East Voorhees Street involving Michael T. Shelato and Lauressa R. Anderson, both of Danville. Shelato was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Friday, 12:02 p.m. – At Gilbert and Williams streets involving Ruth A. Burress and Kip M. Sullivan, both of Danville. Burress was ticketed for failure to yield while turning left.

Thursday, 3:16 p.m. – At Vermilion and Voorhees streets involving Kathy E. McBee of Westville and Phoebe B. Abernathy of Hoopeston. McBee was ticketed for improper overtaking.
