City police arrested a man in connection with a shooting earlier this month.
Kody Wright, 28, of the 1200 block of Grant Street, was booked at the Public Safety Building jail at 4:40 a.m. Sunday on a charge of aggravated battery with a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon.

The shooting took place just after 2:45 a.m. June 2 in the 400 block of North Collett Street.
The victim — a 20-year-old Danville man — told police he had just arrived to drop off a friend when the shooting took place. He had left his car and was preparing to help his friend when a black male in a vehicle drove by. The victim said he heard a gunshot and realized he’d been struck by a bullet.
The victim was treated at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center and also Carle Foundation Hospital.
Miller said police — who had been looking for Wright — were called to the 600 block of Plum Street Sunday morning for a domestic incident. The officers encountered Wright upon arrival and took him into custody.
Wright appeared in court Monday on the charges. His bond is set at $100,000.
