Here are some of the good things readers noticed around the area recently:
• Farmers Chapel United Methodist Church of Danville sends hearts “to everyone who attended the Everett Clark Memorial Concert on July 21. Everett was an important member of Farmers Chapel Church.
“Thank you for your contributions to the Farmers Chapel Memorial Fund, Fair Hope Building Fund and St. James Food Pantry.”
• Linda Smith and family of Danville sends hearts “to Marvin Lamb for his wonderful upkeep of Gundy Cemetery.
“It is so nice to visit our loved ones’ graves and to see how well-kept it is.
“A new drive on the north side is a welcome sight. It makes it so much easier to get around. I’m sure the new drive makes graveside services less congested. On my last visit there, I noticed the small building on the premises had been painted white.
“God bless you, Marvin, on a job well done! Your hard wprk does not go unnoticed.”
• The Knights of Columbus send hearts “to thank everyone who donated and helped throughout our annual Tootsie Roll drive. Thanks to you, almost $7,500 will be given to organizations here in Vermilion County that help citizens with intellectual disabilities.”
