Interested parties can begin entering exhibits for the 2011 Open Class Exhibit at the Fountain County 4-H Fair from 9-11 a.m. EDT Saturday at the 4-H Building at the Fountain County Fairgrounds west of Veedersburg.
Judging will begin at noon. The entries will be released and must be picked up from 6-8 p.m. EDT Wednesday, July 20.
Entrants will be charged a $3 flat fee, which will entitle them to enter as many classes as desired (only one entry per class). Cash awards will be presented to the grand champion and reserve grand champion in each division.
There will be 11 Open Class divisions: culinary arts, food preservation, needlework, sewing, painting and drawing, amateur photography, flowers, professional photography, quilting, miscellaneous arts and crafts, and vegetables.
It is not necessary to be a resident of Fountain County to enter.
All baked goods will be auctioned at 6 p.m. Saturday at the 4-H Building. A small sample of each item will be retained for display.
