DANVILLE — Three people suffered non-life threatening injuries during a drive-by shooting Sunday, police said.

The incident happened about 2 a.m. in the 500 block of East Main Street.

Witnesses said a vehicle was driving eastbound on Main Street and someone shot from the vehicle as it drove by, according to Sgt. Eric Olson with the Criminal Investigations Division.

Three people said they were shot. One was treated at the scene and two were able to drive themselves to OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center.

The victims were all women, ages 22, 35 and 23. All are Danville residents.

The investigation into this incident continues and no other information is being released at this time.
