DANVILLE — A Danville man was injured in another shooting in the city during the weekend.
At around 4:30 a.m. Sunday, Danville police officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of Walnut Street for a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers located a 30-year-old Danville man with a gunshot wound to his leg. The man told police he was in his residence when he heard someone knocking on his door. The man said someone then kicked his door open and began firing shots into the residence.
The man was unable to provide a description of the suspect.
The man was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his non-life threatening wound. No other injuries were reported.
