Church plans meal
Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1930 N. Bowman Ave., will host its 4th annual Community Steak Fry 4:30-6:30 p.m. Saturday. For information, contact the church office at 442-5675, event chairperson at 474-2743, or visit www.ilcdanville.com. Tickets are $15 for a steak meal and $3 for a hot dog meal for children under 12. Carryouts will be available. Proceeds go replace classroom windows.
Library hosts market
Enjoy family-friendly activities and vendors 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Saturday Morning Summer Sounds and Farmers Market on the library lawn.
Neighbors to meet
Holiday Hills Neighborhood Association will meet for the last time this year at 6 p.m. in Family Church, 1700 N. Bowman Ave. Christine Swartz, Step One service director with OSF HealthCare, will speak. Officers will be elected.
Museum plans event
The Catlin Historical Society will host its their annual Museum Fall Dinner 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday on the museum grounds. Seating will be available in our cabin. Museum member and chef Buzz Ritchie will cook ham and bean soup over an open fire. Menu items will include chili, barbecue, hot dogs, Coney dogs, applesauce, dessert and drink. A freewill donation will be collected. The museum complex will be open to tour.
