The city announces that beginning at 7 a.m. Tuesday, the stop lights at the intersection of Fairchild and Jackson will be deactivated for approximately four weeks for signal reconstruction.
During this time, the intersection will be an all-way stop. Motorists are advised to use the caution in the construction zone.
Also, the city announces that a signal study will begin Tuesday a the signalized intersections of Hazel and Fairchild streets and Griffin and Fairchild streets. These intersections will operate in flash mode from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily with Hazel and Griffin on red flash and Fairchild on yellow flash.
The signals will operate normally during other periods. This evaluation is being done to improve the efficiency of the inter-sections.
