DANVILLE — For a third time this week, Danville police responded to a call of an armed robbery.

At 8:48 p.m. Thursday, officers arrived in the 1400 block of East Fairchild Street and spoke with a Monical’s Pizza delivery driver who said he had been robbed at gunpoint, according to a press release issued by Commander Joshua Webb of the Danville Police Department.

The victim said he was approached by three black subjects, one with a handgun. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash, a cell phone and pizzas.

The suspects were described as younger looking — possibly teenagers — according to the release.

Suspect No. 1 was wearing a dark blue jacket and black ski mask, No. 2 was wearing a green jacket. There was no description available for the third suspect.

All three were last seen running eastbound from the area.

No injuries were reported during the incident. The investigation into this incident continues.

Police responded twice Tuesday evening to similar reports. In the first, officers met with a Green Jade delivery driver in the 700 block of Cleveland after he also was approached by three armed suspects. When the victim attempted to flee, he heard a gunshot and the window of his vehicle shattered.

In the second, police were called to Casey's General Store at 845 E. Voorhees St. after a man entered the store and appeared to be armed with a handgun. He took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and fled on foot.
