DANVILLE — East Central Illinois Community Action Agency, through its Community Services Block Grant, has funding available for income and program eligible households residing in Ford, Iroquois, and Vermilion counties, according to a release

Assistance is available in the following areas:

• Rental assistance for individuals and families facing imminent homelessness (down payment/rental assistance)

• Removal of barriers to employment (Uniform Assistance)

• Scholarships for College and or Trade School (also assistance with uniforms, steel toe boots, etc.)

• GED Testing financial assistance

• Natural Disaster Relief – temporary lodging, food, clothing and transportation (Customers who exceed the 125 percent poverty guideline can be assisted through this work program)

• Nutrition and Food/Meals Assistance

• Gateway to Homeownership and Financial Empowerment

An interested household’s 90-day income cannot exceed 125 percent of the federal poverty guidelines and must meet all applicable program requirements.
