VENICE, Fla. — Fleta Beauvois Park, age 95, of Venice, Fla., passed away on July 21, 2013.
She was born Jan. 21, 1918, in Danville, Ill., the daughter of Oscar and Allan Bishop Beauvois.
She married Robert J. Park, of Hoopeston, on June 1, 1940, in Danville.
She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Lau of Venice, Fla.; two grandchildren, Alexander Park of Chicago and Sydney Park of Bloomington-Normal; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Park of Hoopeston.
She was preceded in death by two brothers; one sister; her son, Dan; and her parents.
Fleta Park attended the Danville schools with the Class of 1936. She assisted her husband in the Parkway Cleaners, and after his death in 1967 she continued the business, adding a Merle Norman Studio for which she trained in Los Angeles, Calif. Fleta retired in 1980.
Her hobbies were sewing, reading and making and repairing dolls. She loved her children and grandchildren.
Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
A graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 9, at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
