First Baptist Church in Danville was the setting for the wedding of Aaron Dupree and Sara Vernia on Sept. 7, 2013. Officiating were Pastor Chad Buhman and the Rev. Rob Betts.
The bride is the daughter of George and Carol Vernia of Danville. She graduated in 1998 from First Baptist High School and works for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Decatur.
The bridegroom is the son of James and Dani Dupree of Douglasville, Ga. He graduated in 1992 from Rogers High School in Michigan City, Ind., and works for Ball Corp. in Danville.
Matron of honor was Stephanie Kingrey of Danville, the bride’s sister. Bridesmaids were Danielle McGrew of Noblesville, Ind., the groom’s sister, and Cheryl Wakeland of Georgetown, friend of the bride.
Junior bridesmaid was Brianna Vernia of Danville, niece of the bride. Flower girl was Caitlin Anglum of Franklin, Tenn., the bride’s cousin, and ring bearer was Kristen Buhman of Moweaqua, friend of the bride.
Best man was Paul Bennett of Kirkland, Wash., friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Derek McGrew of Noblesville, groom’s brother-in-law, and Joey High of Chrisman, friend of the groom. Junior groomsman was Max McGrew of Noblesville, groom’s nephew.
Ushers were Jason Vernia of Danville, bride’s brother; Andrew Anglum of Spring Hill, Tenn., bride’s cousin; and Duane Kingrey of Danville, bride’s brother-in-law.
After a honeymoon to Puerto Rico, the couple will live in Champaign.
