— Chicago was the setting for the Sept. 1, 2012, wedding of Jaime Allyn Crain and Alex Michael Hale. Brad Crain, uncle of the bride, performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Randy and Kathy Crain of Covington, Ind. Grandparents are Don Crain of Covington and the late Mary Jean Crain, Richard and Sharon Williams of Wallace, Ind., and Martha Smitha of Danville. She has a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and a master’s of education from the University of Illinois. She works in higher education administration.
The groom is the son of Mike and Pam Hale of Covington. Grandparents are the late Rendall and Martha Johnson and the late Eva and Oral Hale, all of Covington. He has a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a master’s in information systems from Indiana University. He travels as an IT consultant for Accenture.
Matron of honor was Cass (Crowder) Richardson from Covington, Ind., now of Tyler, Texas, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jessica (Crain) Marcinko of Covington, sister of the bride; Beth Ridens of Harrogate, Tenn., and Jessica (Barnes) Lewandowski of South Bend, Ind., both formerly of Covington and friends of the bride.
Best man was Matt Hale from Covington, who now resides in San Diego, Calif. Groomsmen were Max Beatty of Carmel, Ind. and Andy LaVoy from Wisconsin, both now of San Francisco and friends of the groom, and Ryan Abramic of Barrington, friend of the groom. Ring bearer was Levin Marcinko of Covington, nephew of the bride.
Most out-of-town guests arrived on Friday, Aug. 31, to attend a Cubs vs. Giants game and tour the city by trolley.
After a honeymoon, to Barcelona, Mallorca, Madrid and Seville (Spain), the couple now resides in San Diego.
