— An elegant wedding on the back lawn of the bride’s parents’ lake residence was the setting for the Aug. 31, 2013, marriage of Charlotte Towne and Traian Pircalabu. The Rev. Randall Robinson of St. James United Methodist Church performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Clinton George and Cheryl Towne of Danville. She is a practicing attorney at law and established the South Florida-based law firm Charlotte Towne, P.A., which handles entertainment, copyright and trademark law matters.

The groom, formerly of Romania, is the son of Ioan and Aurora Pircalabu of Hollywood, Fla. He is a licensed Realtor and manages commercial property in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. His professional engagements are The K Company of Realtors, LLC and Atlantic Square Properties Management of South Florida.

Matron of honor was Tisha McCoy, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Rian Kinney, Blair Byrket, Diana Stewart and Jeannette Thompson Gardere, friends of the bride.

Best man was Ryan Roy, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Catalin Buda, cousin of the groom, and Dan Jardin, Jess Fortgang, and Adam Gallagher, all friends of the groom.

Flower girls were Ava Towne and Maya Towne, nieces of the bride.

Ring bearer was Nicholas Andrew Buda, godson of the bride and groom.

Greeters were Emma Towne, Emily McCoy, Ashlyn Fox, Lindsay McCoy and Ryan Fox, nieces of the bride.

Ushers were Easton Towne and Lewis Towne, nephews of the bride.

Following an auspicious rainfall, a double rainbow appeared and graciously colored the majestic sky during the beginning elements of the religious wedding.

The bride wore a regal pure white slim-fit mermaid silhouette tulle and satin wedding gown with a cascading flowing train.

Charlotte was escorted by her father on a rose petal path with a natural grassy carpet through the sash-adorned white shepherd hook aisle with hanging vases of velvety coral, peach-yellow, and light pink roses. The ceremonial backdrop included an idyllic grassy opening surrounded by plush woods and a white immaculate mathematical Pi, designed and constructed by the bride’s father, Clinton George Towne. The Pi was adorned with flowing elegant white sheers enhanced by brilliant colorful rose clusters. The ceremony included a Romanian Orthodox Crowning Ceremony and Unity Sand Ceremony.

Violinist was Andrea Tarquini, and cellist was Kendred Tillotson. Vocal soloist Jeannette Thompson Gardere performed “Ave Maria” with accompaniment by Jennifer Woodrow.

A cocktail reception and passed hors d’oeuvres followed the ceremony on the spacious residence lawn.

The wedding festivities then moved to the front lawn inside a wedding tent, where an elegant plated dinner was served and dancing ensued. The after-dinner dance celebration included a surprise vocal duet performance by the bride’s sister, Tisha McCoy, and one of her brothers, Curt Towne, performing the song “Lucky” by Jason Mraz featuring Colbie Caillat.

Traian and Charlotte shared their first dance to the song “Between the Raindrops” by Lifehouse featuring Natasha Bedingfield, which was fitting given the earlier rainfall at the commencement of their ceremony.
