DANVILLE — Brace yourselves for a wintry week. Vermilion County received just under 10 inches of snow as of Sunday night. Local interstates continue to exhibit hazardous travel conditions. As the week goes on, although there is a possibility for more snow, temperatures are expected to warm up. Below, we've included some resources to help you stay "in the know" as we wait out this WINTER WEATHER SNOWDOWN:

Local forecast (updated Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 6):

Tuesday night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 5. Wind chill values between minus-1 and minus-11. South southwest wind 9 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of snow after 7 a.m. Cloudy, with a high near 23. Wind chill values between zero and 10. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the morning.

Wednesday night: A 30 percent chance of snow after 7 p.m. Cloudy, with a low around 16. Light and variable wind becoming northeast around 6 mph in the evening.

Thursday: A 50 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 31. South southeast wind 6 to 8 mph.
