DANVILLE — The teams of the Wabash River Conference hit the Danville Tennis Center on Friday with the first three rounds of the singles and the first two rounds of the doubles WRC tournaments.
Fountain Central’s Kody Keeling advanced to his second straight semifinal and All-WRC honor with two 6-0, 6-0 matches. Seeger’s Addison Martin and Borden Kennedy, along with Rockville’s Lucas Rowe, each advanced to their first semifinals.
In doubles, Fountain Central’s Ladd Warner and Doug Keeling and Dalton Griffin and Dallas Otero, Covington’s Amit Shah and Brendan Woolwine, and Seeger’s Nick McGowen and Caleb Orahood each made it to semifinal action.
Keeling will take on Rowe while Martin will play Kennedy in Monday’s semifinals at Fountain Central High School.
In doubles Warner and Keeling will play Shah and Woolwine while McGowen and Orahood will play Griffin and Otero.

Danville second at doubles invite
CHAMPAIGN — Three Viking doubles teams took second as the team took second at the Champaign Doubles Invitational.
The teams of Rachael Lewis and Taylor Ellis, Amy Shah and Neha Patel and Katie Koebrich and Erin Marble each took second for Danville while the team of Natalie Mahori and Amanda Vadenboncoeur took third.
The Vikings will host Champaign Central on Monday.

Leverenz second at Invite
BARTLETT — Danville’s Johnny Leverenz took second with a time of 15 minutes, 19 seconds as the Vikings took seventh as a team.
Carl Way was 26th for Danville (16:38) while Tommy Session was 50th (17:38).
In the girls race, Emily Cleveland was 88th (23:01) for the Vikings, who only had three runners in the race.
Ramblers compete in Stampede
OXFORD, Ind. — Attica’s Kenny Little had the highest local finish, taking second in the boys race (17 minutes, 41 seconds) as the Red Ramblers was fourth at the Bison Stampede hosted by Benton Central.
