---- — DANVILLE — Jill Cooper-Watson had 14 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double, but it was not enough as the Danville girls basketball team lost to Champaign Central in Big 12 Conference action on Saturday.
Megan Burton had 12 points for the Vikings, who was down 37-20 at halftime while Michaela Jones had seven points with two assists whirl Alexis Hoskins had four assists and three steals.
The Vikings will try to regroup on Monday against St. Joseph-Ogden.
Schlarman 51, Milford 36
DANVILLE — Sierra Bell had 22 points as the Hilltoppers defeated the Bearcats in Vermilion Valley Conference action.
Janelle Marion had 10 points for Schlarman Academy, who was up 23 -15 at halftime while Shelby Mascari had eight points and Sarah Daily added five.
Kylie Thrush led Milford with 12 points while Erin McNally and Alissa Totheroh each added eight.
The Hilltoppers are 12-7 and 5-1 in the VVC and will play Armstrong-Potomac on Monday while the Bearcats will play Westville on Monday.
Armstrong-Potomac 41, Chrisman 22
CHRISMAN — Rachel Miles had 16 points as the Trojans rebounded from their Vermilion County Tournament title game loss on Friday with a win at Chrisman.
Johanna Bruens had seven points for the Armstrong-Potomac, who was up 13-11 at halftime and put the game away with a 21-5 fourth quarter, while Morgan Zindars added four.
Abby Bush led the Cardinals with six points and 17 rebounds while Jordyn Lunger and Chey Warner each added four.
The Cardinals are 11-8 and 5-1 in the Vermilion Valley Conference and will play Oakwood on Monday while the Trojans will host Schlarman Academy on Monday.
PREP BOYS BASKETBALL
Milford 47, North Vermillion 45
CAYUGA, Ind. — Jake Rogers had 15 points with eight rebounds as the Bearcats held on to get the win over the Falcons in non-conference action.
Jeff Cann had 14 for Milford, who was up 25-21 at halftime, while Alex Portwood and Tanner Davenport also added eight points.
Corey Davis led North Vermillion with 14 points, while Brayden Woodard had 11 points and Jacob Earl added nine points.
The Bearcats are 11-2 and will play Salt Fork on Tuesday while the Falcons will play Covington on Friday.
Danville wins two at home
DANVILLE — Javontae Crider (126 pounds) remained undefeated at 16-0 with two pinfall wins as the Vikings defeated Decatur Eisenhower 42-41 and Decatur MacArthur 45-18.
Gabriel Cross (132) also won both of his matches for Danville while Aaron Weaver (138) and Antonio Olivera (120) each got one win.
Seeger wins two at Bi-County
ATTICA, Ind. — The Patriots defeated Fountain Central 45-36 and Covington 66-15, but the Bi-County Tournament was held up before the final round started.
Harley Steele (106 pounds), Quentin Johnston (113), Devin Action (120), Caleb Hanthorne (132), Jordan Horath (152), Devin Harris (170) and Chance Billingsley (220) each won both of their matches for Seeger, who had yet to face North Montgomery for the title.
North Montgomery defeated Fountain Central 64-6 and Attica 75-6
MEN’S COLLEGE BASKETBALL
ICC 78, DACC 73
PEORIA — The Jaguars fought a back and forth battle with the Panthers, but ICC was able to rally in the last few minutes to get the win.
Jalen Loving had 16 points and 12 rebounds for DACC, who had an early 9-3 lead and was only down 39-38 at halftime, while Virgil Fleming had 18 points with five rebounds.
The Jaguars are 10-9 and 1-2 in the Mid-West Athletic Conference and will play Parkland on Wednesday.
WOMEN’S COLLEGE BASKETBALL
DACC 71, Lewis & Clark 53
GODFREY — Kamaren Cole had 18 points as the Lady Jaguars cruised past the Trailblazers.
Sierra Honeycutt had 14 points for DACC, who was up 33-24 at halftime and hit 9-of-17 from the 3-point line.
The Lady Jaguars are 15-7 overall and 3-0 in the Mid-West Athletic Conference and will host Parkland College on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
