VEEDERSBURG, Ind. —
Clare McGrady set a school record in the 50-yard freestyle as the Fountain Central girls swim team beat Tri-West 103-77 in a meet on Wednesday.
McGrady set the record of 26.46 seconds in starting the 200 freestyle relay, where she was joined by Abby Moore, Shelby Gulley and Abigail Campbell in winning the race in 1:51.75.
McGrady also won the 100 freestyle (1:00.43) and the 100 breaststroke (1:12.82) for the Mustangs, while Campbell won the 50 freestyle event (28.19), Gulley took the 500 freestyle (6:21.23) and Hannah Gayler took the 100 backstroke (1:12.75).
The boys team was third in a triangular meet with North Putnam and Tri-West with Joe Nine winning the 100 butterfly (59.08).
Lincoln Land 45
SPRINGFIELD — Megan Hiner had 18 points with eight steals as the Lady Jaguars easily beat the Lady Loggers.
Hillary Lively had 17 points and eight rebounds for DACC, who shot 45 percent from the field and forced Lincoln Land into 30 turnovers.
The Lady Jaguars are 15-6 and 2-0 in the MidWest Athletic Conference and will take on Lewis and Clark on Saturday.
