After losing to Schlarman 6-0 on Thursday, the Georgetown-Ridge Farm boys soccer team had to regroup on Saturday with higher stakes on the line.
The Buffaloes did early on with two goals in the first half of a Class 1A regional game and was abel to hang on to a 2-1 win over the Hilltoppers.
Wyatt Lenhart started the scoring in the sixth minute on a assists from Chance Potter while Potter scored in the 19th minute.
Deven McGowan had 11 saves on the day for Georgetown-Ridge Farm, who is 3-13 and will face top seed St. Joseph-Ogden on Tuesday at Schlarman.
Kurt Son scored the only goal for Schlarman in the second half.

Vikings close in on Big 12 title
CHAMPAIGN — Danville had four first place finishes in singles action as it got to the brink of its third straight Big 12 Championship.
“We are definitely in a position to win this,” Danville head coach Mark Bacys said. “We had a great day overall and it looks good for us on Monday.”
Amy Shah won the title at No. 2 singles for the Vikings while Taylor Ellis (No. 4), Neha Patel (No. 5) and Courtney Hart (No. 6) each took first place finishes. Becca Lewis was secdon at No. 3 and Rachael Lewis was third in No. 3.
Danville is up by six points over Normal Community going into Monday’s doubles action, but the Ironmen would have to win all three doubles titles to win the conference.
DACC 1-4 in Classic
KANKAKEE — Serena Calhoun was named to the All-Tournament team for the Lady Jaguars, who beat Grace College but lost to host Kankakee, Rend Lake, Illinois Valley and Lakeland at the Cavalier Classic.
Calhoun had 56 kills, 11 blocks and nine aces during the two-day tournament, while Chelsea Jones-Wyss had 118 assists and 32 digs, Emily Hufford had 45 kills and seven blocks and Taylor Poggendorf had 56 digs.
DACC is 5-19 and will travel to Champaign on Wednesday to play Parkland.
