MARSHALL, Ind. — The Fountain Central football team scored early and often against Turkey Run before the game was called in because of lightning in the third quarter with the Mustangs getting the 47-6 win.
Koby Pierce was 5-of-6 for 172 yards and four touchdown passes for Fountain Central with two TD passes to Ethan Woodrow, and one TD pass each to Trevor Loveall and Jaren Oakley.
On the ground, Jared Fishero, Daniel Harrison and Collin Strange each scored touchdowns. The Mustangs defense held the Warriors to -37 yards rushing.
The Mustangs are 2-0 and will host Riverton Parke next week.
Milford/Cissna Park 33 Tri-County 6
OAKLAND — Jacob Marquez had 132 yards rushing and three touchdowns as the Bearcats started the season with a non-conference win over Tri-County.
Devon Laubuscher had 90 yards rushing with two touchdowns for Milford/Cissna Park, who will host Iroquois West next week.

GEORGETOWN — The Buffaloes showed no mercy in their opener, shutting out Decatur Lutheran at home.
Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman will stay at home next week to play Tri-County.

VILLA GROVE — The Tigers could not get past Villa Grove in their season opener.
Westville will return home to try to get their first win of the season next week against Cerro Gordo.

Devils, Vikings play in Central Invite
CHAMPAIGN — Andy Bott finished in a tie for fifth with a score of 76 as Bismarck-Henning ended up 13th in the Champaign Central Invitational.
Noah Campbell had a 83 for the Blue Devils while David Warren had a 86 and Logan Reifsteck carded a 93.
Danville finished in a tie for 17th with Joliet Catholic with a 354. Reed Krynski led the way for the Vikings with a 86, while Christian Montgomery had a 88, Brad Taylor had a 89 and Jon Brinkley added a 91.
