DANVILLE — Westville right-hander Tanner Cox was in total control on Monday against the Schlarman Academy Hilltoppers at Danville Stadium.
Cox tossed a five-inning perfect game, striking out 11 of the 15 batters he faced as the Tigers defeated the Hilltoppers 10-0.
Kyle Brazas and Mark Strebin led the Westville offensive attack with two RBIs each, while Jeffery Thompson, Tristan Flynn, Aaron Marx and Tyler Dicken had multiple hits for the Tigers.
Mason Gard was the losing pitcher for Schlarman.
Oakwood 12, Bismarck-Henning 1
BISMARCK — Oakwood’s Taylor Turner struck out 14 in his complete-game victory over the Bismarck-Henning Blue Devils on Monday afternoon.
Turner, who allowed just one run on four hits, got all the offense he would need in the first inning as Oakwood scored at least one run in every inning.
Salt Fork 23, Hoopeston Area 1
SIDELL — Ross Learnard nearly did it all on Monday for the Storm.
The left-hander allowed just one run on two hits and then the senior had a double, a triple and three RBIs.
Fellow senior Cole Taylor had four hits, including a home run, and three RBIs, while senior Max Stutsman had two doubles, a single and two RBIs in the winning cause.
Milford 9, Armstrong-Potomac 2
MILFORD — Ryley Ward had three hits and three RBIs to lead the Bearcats past the Trojans.
Jordan Gullquist was the winning pitcher for Milford, while Dentler Loschen and Dustin Nixon each had two hits for Armstrong-Potomac.
Danville 6, Paris 2
DANVILLE — The Vikings bounced back from a doubleheader sweep on Saturday with a win over the Tigers.
Alissa Peelman got the victory, improving to 5-2 on the season; while Peelman, Megan Burton and Kennedy Richards all finished with two hits.
Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman 5, Watseka 2
GEORGETOWN — Megan Burris went 3-for-3 with four stolen bases as the Buffaloes ran past the Warriors.
