The Salt Fork baseball team had a little bit of teamwork go a long way on Friday.
Ross Learnard, Cole Taylor and Connor Taylor combined to throw a no-hitter as the Storm beat Bismarck-Henning 14-0 in Vermilion Valley Conference action.
Learnard also had three RBIs for the Storm, while Lane Weston also had three RBIS, Cole Taylor and Cole Sanford each had two and Jordan Eakle, Colton Baird and Garrett McFadden each had one.
The Storm will play Hoopeston Area on Monday while the Blue Devils drop to 3-4 and will play Oakwood on Monday.
DANVILLE — Emmitt Black and Riley Jones each had two RBIs as the Hilltoppers jumped out to a 3-1 lead and stayed ahead against the Bearcats.
Winning pitcher Dalton Dieu and Nathan Combs each had one RBI for Schlarman Academy, while Black had three hits and Jones added two.
Jacob Henning had two hits and an RBI for Milford while Alex Portwood and Ryley Ward each had one RBI.
The Hilltoppers are 3-8 and 3-1 in the Vermilion Valley Conference and will play Westville on Monday.
POTOMAC — Senior Davin Miles had a game-high three hits to go along with three RBIs as the Comets defeated the Trojans.
Oakwood, which scored in every inning, also got three RBI games from Kyle Girton and Austin McCarty, while Jake England had a double and two RBIs.
Dentler Loschen had a team-high two hits for Armstrong-Potomac, while Wade Rogers, Jon Snyder and Austin Smith drove in runs for the Trojans.
The Comets improve to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in the Vermilion Valley Conference; while the Trojans fall to 0-7 and 0-5.
Both teams are scheduled to play non-conference games today. Oakwood is at Attica, while Armstrong-Potomac hosts Prairie Central.
Hoopeston Area 3
GEORGETOWN — Ryan Berry had three hits with two triples for the Buffaloes, but darkness ended the game with the Cornjerkers with a tied score.
The game will be resumed with the scored tied 3-3 in the 11th inning at a later date.
DANVILLE — The Vikings rallied late with four runs in the seventh, but could not recover from a big deficit against the Tigers.
Kristi Burghart had a home run and two RBIs for Danville, who was down 6-0 after the second inning and committed 12 errors, while Lindsey Loewenstein also had two RBIs.
Bobbi Morris and Ji’Cee Lacey each had two RBIs for Westville while Ashley Hoffman had one.
The Vikings are 3-6 and will play Normal Community today in a doubleheader opening Big 12 Conference action.
ARMSTRONG — The Trojans scored two runs in the seventh to get their second win in a row in their last at bat.
Morgan Zindars was the winning pitcher and got four RBIs for Armstrong-Potomac while Megan Porter had three.
Kaylee Moreman, Madison Carleton, Kathleen Townley, Nikki Weyah, Lexi Stacy and losing pitcher Breanna Wright each had one RBI for Oakwood, who is 1-6 and 1-3 in the VVC.
The Trojans are 4-4 and 2-3 in the VVC and will face Milford on Monday.

GEORGETOWN — Brittany Hay had four hits with a home run as the Buffaloes beat the Cornjerkers in five innings.
Catie Brandt had three RBIS and two hits for Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman while Tristyn Mingee had two RBIs and Callan Hall, Megan Burris, Madison Cramer and winning pitcher Lexi Silva each had one.
The Buffaloes are 9-1 and 6-0 in the VVC and will play Watseka on Monday.
Karena Colunga had two hits for Hoopeston Area, who are 4-7 and 1-4 in the VVC and will play Salt Fork on Monday.
COVINGTON, Ind. — Kendra Wallace had six RBIs as the Trojans defeated the Red Ramblers.
Mallory Ponder and Aliah Larsen each had three RBIs for Covington while Macie Cooper added two RBIs.
Carly Stoll had two home runs and five RBIs for Attica, while Kaylynn Kirkpatrick hit a solo homer.
PREP GIRLS TENNIS
COVINGTON, Ind. — Miranda Synesael and Shelby Brown won singles matches as the Patriots gave the Trojans their first loss of the season.
The doubles teams of Bridget McGowan and Emmie Stevens and Becky and Jessi Middleton each got wins for Seeger, who is 2-0.
Mackensey Sorrell won in singles action for Covington, who is 2-1.

DHS girls win at
BLOOMINGTON — Alexis Jimson-Miller won the 100 (15.08) and the 300 (46.98) meter hurdles as the Vikings beat the field at the Lady Raider Invite.
Danville also picked up wins with the 400 relay team of Jimson-Miller, Ambrosia Williams, Joriel Stewart and Emone Davis (50.10) and the 800 team of Davis Williams, Stewart and Arionna Graham (1:48.65).
“It was an outstanding team effort against a quality field,” DHS coach B.J. Luke said. “The conditions were tough but our kids competed well.”
Michaela Jones was second in the long jump (16 feet, 2 inches) and third in the triple jump (34-1) while Davis was second in the 100 dash (12.76) and Stewart was second in the 200 (26.93). Sadie Elliott was fourth in the 3,200 (11:46) and sixth in the 1,600 (5:39.94).
CHAMPAIGN — The Jaguars were up 5-0 before the Cobras struck in the bottom of the eighth with eight runs to get the win in a nine-inning game.
Mark Keller had two hits and two RBIs for DACC while Caleb Etchison drove in one run.
Alec Neal took the loss for the Jaguars, who will play Lincoln College today.
