---- — FRANKLIN, Ind. — Seeger’s Kiley Swisher ended her season on Saturday at the IHSAA Girls State Golf Final with a score of 95 and finished the two-day event in a tie for 71st.
Swisher shot a 83 in Friday’s first day at The Legends Golf Club and was the first-ever partcipant from Seeger to make the event, which is brings together the top golfers in the state.

Leverenz third at Peoria
PEORIA — At the same spot where the state cross country meet will be held later this month, Danville’s Johnny Leverenz took third at the Peoria Invitational, where 52 schools participated.
Leverenz had a time of 14 minutes, 56 seconds in the meet as the Vikings took 30th as a team.
Carl Way was 127th (16:28) while Jeremiah Cooley was 231st (17:27) and Tommy Session was 239th (17:30).

Danville 15th at Better Ball
NORMAL — The team of Reed Krynski and Tristan Wolfe had an 81 as the Vikings took 15th at the Unit Five Better Ball at Ironwood Golf Course.
Brad Taylor and Christian Montgomery combined for a 87 while Jon Brinkley and Chandler McBride had a 88 for Danville.

Hoopeston Area 9, Iroquois West 1
GILMAN — Brennan Crose had three goals with an assist as the Cornjerkers easily defeated Iroquois West on the road.
Nathan Michael had two goals and two assists for Hoopeston Area, Chase Bouse had a goal and two assists, while Mason Jett had two goals and a assist and Elijah Yates had one goal.
Trey Layden only needed to block one shot to get the shutout for the Cornjerkers, who are 15-2 and will return to Vermilion Valley Conference action against Salt Fork on Tuesday.
Bis-Henn 5 Clifton Central 2
CLIFTON — Blake Reifsteck had two goals and three assists as the Blue Devils beat Clifton Central.
Colton Story had two goals for Bismarck-Henning while Skylar Nuetzmann had a goal and Nino Miller had a assist.
Connor Watson had four saves in goal for the Blue Devils, who are 5-4-1 and will play Schlarman on Wednesday.
Covington second in own invite
COVINGTON, Ind. — After beating Faith Christian 2-1, the Trojans fell short in the title game of the Covington Invitational, losing to Western Boone 4-2.
Zeb Newlin had a goal and a assist in the first game while Alex Spezia added the other goal while Travis Coleman and Spencer McCone each had a goal in the title game while Janse Applegate and Adam Randles each added one assist.
The Trojans are 8-4-2 at the end of the regular season and will start sectional play against West Vigo on Wednesday at 5 p.m. EST.

Danville fifth at Bloomington
BLOOMINGTON — The No. 2 doubles team of Amy Shah and Neha Patel took third as the Vikings took fifth at the Bloomington Invtitational.
Amanda Vadenboncoeur took fifth at the No. 4 singles spot for Danville, who will play Watseka for its senior day on Monday.
