FITHIAN —  Parker Lee had 23 points as the Oakwood boys basketball team did just enough to beat Villa Grove 61-59 on Tuesday in non-conference action.

Kyle Elliott had 17 points for the Comets, who were up 25-20 at halftime and 42-36 after the third quarter, while Skyler Slade added 16.

Oakwood is 3-7 and will start play at the BSN Classic on Dec. 27.

WATSEKA — The Cornjerkers could not get past Tri-Point at the Watseka Holiday Tournament.

Hoopeston Area will next play Jan. 4 against Armstrong-Potomac.

BISMARCK — The Blue Devils got three pinfall wins as they defeated the Tigers.

Danny Feezor (120 pounds), Davin Huber (126) and Morgan Supergan (285) won by pin for Bismarck-Henning, while Tyler Pasley won by a 16-0 technical fall.

Westville had pin fall wins by DeMarco Brown (106) and Cody Rice (145).

DANVILLE — The Jaguars led from start to finish and was up by as much as 30 points as they easily beat the Rose Hulman junior varsity.

Ronnie White led DACC with 14 points and 11 rebounds, Chris Whitehead had 14 points and five assists, Kody Tucker had 14 points with four steals and David Hicks had 11 points and five steals.

The Jaguars are 12-3 overall and will play Kankakee Community College on Thursday at 6 p.m.

FEDERAL HOCKEY LEAGUE

Three Dashers named to All-Star Team


PALM BAY, Fla. — The Danville Dashers will have three players on the Federal Hockey League All-Star Team for the Jan. 2 All-Star Game at Williamsport, Pa.

Defender Ryan Huggett and forwards Justin Levac and Darick Ste. Marie were selected for the team, who will take on the Williamsport Outlaws in the All-Star Game.

Ste. Marie leads Danville with 29 points and 20 goals for the season so far, while Levac has 17 assists and 21 points and Huggett has 12 assists.

The Dashers return to action Thursday when they travel to Dayton to face the FHL-leading Demonz.
