NORMAL — Reed Krynski had a team-best round of 79 on Monday as the Danville Vikings were seventh in the Big 12 Conference Tournament at Ironwood Golf Course in Normal.
Krynski’s round of 7-over-par was good enough for a 15th-place tie and it was nine shots better than teammates Christian Montgomery (88) and Jon Brinkley (88). Rounding out the scoring for the Vikings were Brad Taylor (94), Tristian Wolfe (94) and Chandler McBride (99).
Brady Quackenbush of Normal Community was the Big 12 Conference Champion with a very impressive 6-under-par 66 and the Ironmen (290) claimed the team title by 13 strokes over the Normal West Wildcats (303). Rounding out the top five were Champaign Centennial (316), Champaign Central (320) and Bloomington (324). Danville’s team score was 349.
Bismarck-Henning beats Donovan, Milford
DANVILLE — The Blue Devils reached the 20-win plateau with a victory over the Wildcats and the Bearcats on Monday afternoon.
Bismarck-Henning senior Andy Bott was second, two strokes behind medalist Kaleb Salzman of Donovan, who shot an even-par 36 at Harrison Park, the site of the IHSA Class 1A sectional tournament later this month.
After Bott’s 38 came junior David Warren with a 40, Logan Reifsteck (42) and Noah Campbell (44).
Alex Portwood had the best round for Milford with a 48.
Salt Fork 179, Tri-County 184
OAKLAND — Lane Weston’s round of 5-over 39 was not only good enough for medalist honors on Monday but it helped the Storm defeat the Titans.
Weston was one shot better than Tri-County’s Brandon Getche.
Rounding out the Storm’s scorecard was Cole Sanford (44), Trenton Hall (45) and Max Prosser (51).

Watseka 4, Georgetown-Ridge Farm 2
GEORGETOWN — Nick Morales scored twice in the final 20 minutes to lead the Warriors past the Buffaloes.
Georgetown-Ridge Farm (1-10) rallied twice to tie the match at 1-1 and 2-2, and the Buffaloes had a third opportunity but they couldn’t convert the penalty kick.
Reed Smith got the goal in the first half for Georgetown-Ridge Farm, while Wyatt Lenhart scored a second-half goal for the Buffaloes off an assist from Sean Smith.
Lafayette McCutcheon 6, Covington 2
COVINGTON, Ind. — The Mavericks dominated every aspect of Monday’s match against the Trojans, including the final score.
McCutcheon scored twice in the first half and four more times in the second half, while Covington got goals from Travis Coleman and Justin Long to go along with an assist from Zeb Newlin.
The Mavericks outshot the Trojans 35-6.
“We ran into a very good McCutcheon team,’’ Covington coach Ryan Sowers said. “They possessed the ball extremely well and totally limited our attempts. This is a game that we will learn from and hopefully improve a few areas that we need to before our sectional tournament.’’
St. Joseph-Ogden 2, Westville 0
ST. JOSEPH — Mariah Rolinits had three kills and three digs but it wasn’t enough as the Tigers fell to the Spartans, 25-5 and 25-9.
Adianne Pate had a team-high five assists in the loss for Westville.
