Rieches, Bearcats easily defeats Donovan

---- — MILFORD — Milford pitcher Clayton Reiches pitched a one-hitter and had 15 strikeouts as the Bearcats were able to defeat Donovan 18-0 in five innings.

Reiches also starred at the plate with three hits and four RBIs while Jordan Gullquist, Alex Portwood and Tanner Davenport each had two hits and two RBIs, Jake McKinley had two RBIs and Ryley Ward, Shayne McNally and Rowdy Murray each had one RBI.

The Bearcats will host Iroquois West on Monday.

ARMSTRONG — The Trojans had three hits but also had three errors as they lost to the Spartans.

Corey Buhr took the loss for Armstrong-Potomac, who are 0-2 and will play Paxton-Buckley-Loda on Monday.

Charleston 7, Danville 0

DECATUR — Kyia Bryant had five saves, but it was not enough as the Vikings were defeated by Charleston for the second time at the St. Teresa Tournament.

Danville was coming off a 2-1 win over Mattoon in the tournament on Thursday. Kaitie Goodwin scored both goals for the Vikings while Lexi Hoskins had three saves in goal.

The Vikings end the tournament at 2-2 and will host Urbana April 5 at Danville High School.
