LOCAL ROUNDUP: Salt Fork cruises past Georgetown-RF

GEORGETOWN —  Max Stutsman had 21 points as the Salt Fork boys basketball team defeated Georgetown-Ridge Farm 55-35 in Vermilion Valley Conference action.

Ross Learnard had 12 for the Storm, who jumped out to a 23-12 halftime lead and 38-22 advantage after the third quarter, while Cole Taylor had seven points.

Kyle Coburn led the way for the Buffaloes with 15 points, while Dylan Bina had six and Tyson Reed added five.

The Storm will host Chrisman on Tuesday while the Buffaloes will head to Sheldon on Tuesday to play Milford.

FITHIAN — Ty Bolen had 18 points as the Cardinals defeated the Comets.

Chris Hoult had 13 points for Chrisman, who was down 22-20 to Oakwood at halftime, before scoring 37 points in the second half, while Chase Anderson had 11 points.

Kyle Elliott had 25 to lead Oakwood while Skyler Slade had 16.

The Comets will try to regroup on Tuesday when they face Westville.

MILFORD — Jeff Cann had 17 points as the Bearcats took a 23-8 first quarter lead and held on to defeat the Trojans.

Josh Killion had 16 for Milford while Alex Portwood had 13 and Jordan Gullquist added six.

Dentler Loschen led Armstrong-Potomac with 18 points while Wade Rogers had 15 and Shawn Johnson added 11.

The Bearcats will host Georgetown-Ridge Farm on Tuesday while the Trojans will host Schlarman on Tuesday.

BLOOMINGTON — Jonathan Garver scored 43 points with seven 3-pointers as the Knights blew away Calvary.

Zane Bumpus had 17 points, while John Martin had 10 and Michael Young added eight for First Baptist, who are 3-1.

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. — Jordan Stover had 13 points as the Patriots did just enough to defeat North Montgomery.

Zach Stitt and Nathan Devillez each had 10 points for Seeger, with DeVillez getting seven rebounds and Stitt taking down six, while Seth Lynch had nine, Issac Foxen had six and Caleb Orahood added five.

The Patriots are 4-0 and will play Tri-County tomorrow.

FRANKFORT, Ind. — Ethan Woodrow had 32 points as the Mustangs jumped out to a 48-23 halftime lead and did not look back against Clinton Prairie.

Sam Woodrow had 22 points for Fountain Central, while Luke Davenport had 10 points and 10 assists and Koby Pierce added seven.

The Mustangs are 4-0 and will play Attica next week.

DANVILLE — The Demonz jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first period and held off the Dashers from there to get its second straight 5-4 win at the David S. Palmer Arena.

Darick Ste Marie had two goals for Danville while Dustin Skinner and Todd McIrath each had one. Lee McClure had two assists while McIlrath, Ryan Huggett, Ryan Stern, Shawn McNulty and Phillippe St-Laurent each had one.

Josselin St.-Pierre had 21 saves in goal for the Dashers, who will wrap up the series with the Demonz tonight.
