ARMSTRONG — Rachel Miles and Morgan Zindars each had four points in overtime as the Armstrong-Potomac girls basketball team defeated Schlarman Academy 50-46 in Vermilion Valley Conference action on Friday.
Miles ended up with 18 points for the the Trojans, who was down 27-21 at halftime, but scored 16 points in the fourth quarter to tie things up at 42-42. Makenzie Vinson had 13 while Zindars added 11 points.
Sierra Bell had a game-high 22 points for the Hilltoppers, while Janelle Marion had 10 and Maria Rangel, Alexis Rangel and Shelby Mascari each added four.
The Trojans will travel to Hoopeston Area on Monday while the Hilltoppers will take on Hoopeston Area today.

HOOPESTON — Brooke Walsh had 14 points as the Blue Devils defeated the Cornjerkers.
Addie Voyles had eight points for Bismarck-Henning, who had a 16-7 lead at halftime, while Lindsay Andrews had seven and Maddie Winkler added five.
Haley Dixon and Rylee Warner each had five for Hoopeston Area, while Brea Bushong added four.
The Blue Devils will host Salt Fork on Monday.

Geo-RF 57, Schlarman 51
GEORGETOWN — Rylee Goodwin had 13 points in the fourth quarter as the Buffaloes broke away to get the win over the Hilltoppers.
Goodwin had 21 points for Georgetown-Ridge Farm, who was up 22-21 at halftime and 36-35 entering the fourth quarter, while Tyson Reed had nine points and Garrett Martin, Dylan Bina and Aaron Scott each had eight.
Michael Simmons had 21 points to lead Schlarman Academy while Chris Kuchefski had nine and Gavin Stines added eight.
Both teams return to action on Tuesday with the Buffaloes taking on Bismarck-Henning while the Hilltoppers will play Salt Fork.

CATLIN — Mason Layden had 16 points as the Cornjerkers held on to beat the Storm.
Brennan Crose had 12 points for Hoopeston Area, who had a 28-27 halftime lead, while Daniel Lawson had nine and Bryce Leigh and Trey Layden added six points.
