COVINGTON, Ind. — Chandler Spring had 27 points as the Trojans easily defeated South Vermillion.
Jordan Ahrens had 12 points and 15 rebounds, three assists and two steals for the Trojans, who was up 36-28 at halftime, while Halen Noble had nine Gage Hegg had seven points with three steals and Travis Coleman had four points with six assists.
The Trojans will host Crawfordsville on Friday.
N. Montgomery 63, Attica 61
ATTICA, Ind. — Bryce Cooper had 30 points with two assists, but it was not enough as the Red Ramblers lost at home.
Brady Sheridan had 11 points with 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals for Attica, who was down 33-23 at halftime, while Kenny Little had nine points with five assists and three steals and Keetin Arnold added six.
The Red Ramblers will play Benton Central on Thursday.
DACC loses first two
BORGET, Texas — The Lady Jaguars started the season with a 8-0 loss to Lamar Community College and a 6-5 loss to Frank Phillips Community College.
In the game against Frank Phillips, Katy Nicholson and Linley Smith each hit a solo home run back to back in the fifth inning while Megan McCord and Stephanie Stesanic each added an RBI.
Stesancic had two hits in the first game for DACC, who played their first games since the end of the 2012 season.
