BISMARCK — Wilde Garowski had 18 points as the Bismarck-Henning boys basketball team got a hold of first place in the tight Vermilion Valley Conference race on Tuesday with a 59-53 double overtime win over Salt Fork.
Andy Bott had 15 points for the Blue Deivls, who was down 26-22 at halftime and was tied 45-45 at the end of regulation and 47-47 at the end of the first overtime, while Chase Connelly had 11 and Dylan Allen and Dustyn Ingram each added seven.
Max Stutsman had a game-high 23 points for the Storm, while Ross Learnard had 21 and Cole Taylor added four.
The Blue Devils are 23-3 and 9-2 in the VVC and will play Armstrong-Potomac on Friday while the Storm are 19-8 and 8-3 and will host Chrisman today at Catlin.
Hoopeston Area 60, A-P 35
HOOPESTON — Mason Layden had 18 points as the Cornjerkers stayed on pace with the Blue Devils in the VVC race by beating the Trojans.
Brennan Crose had 11 points for Hoopeston Area, who was up 30-21 at halftime, while Trey Layden had nine and Nathan Michael added six.
Dentler Loschen and Shawn Johnson each had nine for Armstrong-Potomac, while Austin Rademacher had six and Corey Buhr added five.
The Cornjerkers are 16-9 and 8-3 in the VVC and will play Milford on Friday while the Trojans are 4-20 and 2-8 and will play Georgetown-Ridge Farm today.
Geo-RF 45, Oakwood 38
FITHIAN — Rylee Goodwin had 11 points with six in the fourth quarter as the Buffaloes rallied with 18 points in the fourth to beat the Comets.
Dylan Bina and Adam Scott each had eight points for Georgetown-Ridge Farm, who was down 25-18 at halftime, while Garrett Martin had seven and Tyson Reed added six.
Parker Lee had 14 for Oakwood, while Jeremy Watson had seven and Lee Mascari and Taylor Turner each added six.
The Buffaloes are 7-20 and 2-9 in the VVC and will travel to Armstrong-Potomac today while the Comets are 8-19 and 1-10 and will take on Schlarman Academy on Friday.
