BISMARCK — Wilde Garowski had 18 points as the Bismarck-Henning boys basketball team got a hold of first place in the tight Vermilion Valley Conference race on Tuesday with a 59-53 double overtime win over Salt Fork.
Andy Bott had 15 points for the Blue Deivls, who was down 26-22 at halftime and was tied 45-45 at the end of regulation and 47-47 at the end of the first overtime, while Chase Connelly had 11 and Dylan Allen and Dustyn Ingram each added seven.
Max Stutsman had a game-high 23 points for the Storm, while Ross Learnard had 21 and Cole Taylor added four.
The Blue Devils are 23-3 and 9-2 in the VVC and will play Armstrong-Potomac on Friday while the Storm are 19-8 and 8-3 and will host Chrisman today at Catlin.
Hoopeston Area 60, A-P 35
HOOPESTON — Mason Layden had 18 points as the Cornjerkers stayed on pace with the Blue Devils in the VVC race by beating the Trojans.
Brennan Crose had 11 points for Hoopeston Area, who was up 30-21 at halftime, while Trey Layden had nine and Nathan Michael added six.
Dentler Loschen and Shawn Johnson each had nine for Armstrong-Potomac, while Austin Rademacher had six and Corey Buhr added five.
The Cornjerkers are 16-9 and 8-3 in the VVC and will play Milford on Friday while the Trojans are 4-20 and 2-8 and will play Georgetown-Ridge Farm today.
Geo-RF 45, Oakwood 38
FITHIAN — Rylee Goodwin had 11 points with six in the fourth quarter as the Buffaloes rallied with 18 points in the fourth to beat the Comets.
Dylan Bina and Adam Scott each had eight points for Georgetown-Ridge Farm, who was down 25-18 at halftime, while Garrett Martin had seven and Tyson Reed added six.
Parker Lee had 14 for Oakwood, while Jeremy Watson had seven and Lee Mascari and Taylor Turner each added six.
The Buffaloes are 7-20 and 2-9 in the VVC and will travel to Armstrong-Potomac today while the Comets are 8-19 and 1-10 and will take on Schlarman Academy on Friday.
Chrisman 45, Westville 32
CHRISMAN — Ty Bolen had 23 points as the Cardinals kept in pace with the leaders in the VVC.
Wyatt Avenatti had six points for Chrisman, who was up 18-13 at halftime, while Tyler Owen had five and Dalton Hoult added four.
Jeffrey Thompson led Westville with 11 points while Jordan Romo and Kyle Brazas each had six and Justin Ottino added five.
The Cardinals are 17-8 and 9-2 in the VVC while the Tigers are 14-11 and 6-6 and will play Salt Fork on Friday.
Arthur Christian 74, First Baptist 61
DANVILLE — Jonathan Garver had 23 points, but it was not enough as the Knights lost at home
Zane Bumpus had 15 points for First Baptist, who was leading 36-26 at halftime but was outscored 48-25 in the second half, while Jermaine Brooks had 12 and Kyle Cummins added nine.
Attica 78, Faith Christian 66
LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Bryce Cooper had 31 points with seven assists as the Red Ramblers defeated Faith Christian.
Brady Sheridan had 18 points and 11 rebounds for Attica, who was down 40-35 at halftime, while Keetin Arnold had 12 points and Kenny Little added 10.
The Red Ramblers will host Rockville on Friday.

DANVILLE — Morgan Millikan had seven points for the Knights, but could not get much offense against Arthur Christian.
Hannah Wells had six for First Baptist, who was tied 16-16 at halftime, but was outscored 30-12 in the second half, while Mattie Bumpus had five and Ashley Greazer added four.
