Hazel E. (Williams) Craft

WEST LEBANON, Ind. — Hazel E. (Williams) Craft, 72, of West Lebanon, died at 10:18 p.m. EST Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at the home of her daughter Jennifer.

Hazel was born on April 7, 1940, in Cayuga, Ind. She was the daughter of Elswood and Sadie (Price) Williams.

She attended Cayuga High School and resided most of her life in that area. She moved to West Lebanon in 2003.

On July 20, 1957, she married Elvin Craft in Cayuga. He preceded her in death on May 1, 2003.

Hazel was a homemaker and enjoyed exercising, puzzles and crocheting. She loved playing the piano, especially classical music. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Surviving are four children, Penny Snyder (husband: Duane) of Fishers, Ind., Mike Craft (wife: Melissa) of Terre Haute, Ind., Jennifer Hobaugh and Rob Craft (wife: Dana), both of West Lebanon; one brother, Walter Black (wife: Betty) of Attica, Ind.; one sister, June Hargrove (husband: Howard) of West Lebanon, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Jim Hicks (wife: Lacy) of Bloomington, Joe Hicks (wife: Kim) of Fishers, Ind., Andy Hobaugh of West Lebanon, Angie Hobaugh of Indianapolis, Brittany Craft of Avon, Ind., Lacy Craft of Terre Haute, Megan Jackson (husband: Alex) of Noblesville, Ind., and Casey Craft of West Lebanon; four great-grandchildren, Trevor Hicks, Owen Hicks, Lynley Hicks and Maddox Kirts; two very close nieces, Marilyn Campbell (husband: Charles) of Danville, and Linda Ogle of Veedersburg, Ind.; and companion, her dog, Webster.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. EST Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport, Ind., with a graveside service at 3 p.m. EST at Thomas Cemetery, Newport, Ind., with Minister Bruce Thornsbrough officiating.
