KINGMAN, Ind. — Elsie Pearl (Swank) Sigler, 79, of Kingman, passed away at 10:27 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Humrick on July 13, 1934, to the late Arguel and Goldie (Johnson) Swank.
She attended Tangier High School and married the late Harold Sigler Jr. on Oct. 1, 1960, in Lodi.
Elsie retired from Quaker Oats after 20 plus years. She attended the Cates Community Church, loved to bake pies, enjoyed yard work and loved spending time with her family.
Elsie is survived by three sons, David Freed of Kingman, Scott Sigler of Indianapolis and Shawn (Anita) Howard of Waveland, Ind.; one daughter, Missie Keller (Randy) of Kingman; 10 grandchildren, Chelsie, Penny, Rachael, Tod, Tracy, Angie, Christy, Carrie, Scott and Marty; and nine great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Brayden, Megan, Carson, Camrin, Carter, Lindsey, Amanda and Danika.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; her two sons, John and Paul; three sisters; a grandson; and great-grandson.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. EDT until time of service at noon on Thursday, Aug. 29, at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S. First St., Kingman, Ind., with Pastor Don Hesler officiating. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery. Share memories and condolences online at www.sandersfuneralcare.com.
