ROCKVILLE, Ind. — Freda Mae Allison Jarling, 93, of Rockville, Ind., died at 10:36 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, in Union Hospital-Clinton.
She was a homemaker and worked part time for the Extension office at Warren County, Ind.
She was born April 20, 1920, in Danville, Ill., to the late Noah White and Edith Cunningham White.
Her first husband, Richard Allison, whom she married May 5, 1939, died May 26, 1977; her second husband, Floyd Jarling, whom she married May 6, 1979, died Dec. 13, 1985.
Survivors include two sons, Ed (Sharon) Allison of Williamsport, Ind., and John (Diane) Allison of Williamsport, Ind.; one daughter, Betty (Burk) Collings of Rockville, Ind.; one brother, Larry (Sue) White of Danville, Ill.; one sister, Betty Hale of Princeton, Ky.; seven grandchildren, Tim (Michele) Allison, Tracey Rowe, Travis Collings, Allison (Derek) Maxwell, Shawn (Dana) Allison, Shane (Blythe) Allison and Jessica (Jordan) Allison; two step-grandchildren, Sheila McConnaughey and Sheryl (Jeff) Mellady; nine great-grandchildren; and two step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, two half-brothers and three half-sisters.
She was a 1938 graduate of Oakwood (Ill.) High School. She was a member of the Williamsport Christian Church and the American Legion Fellenzer Post 48 auxiliary in Rockville. She was active in community affairs in Warren County with the Extension agency and the fair board.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. EDT Saturday, Aug. 24, in Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard St. Rockville, with Pastor Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Cemetery at Bismarck, Ill.
