WESTVILLE — Bruce Allen Cunningham, 62, of Westville, passed away at 7:53 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at his home.
The son of Myron and June (Hearnley) Cunningham, he was born on Dec. 16, 1950, in Danville.
He married Christa Stockinger of Germany on June 24, 1978, in Danville. She survives.
Other survivors include his sons, Brian K. (Rhiannon) Cunningham Sr. and Jason D. Cunningham, both of Westville; grandchildren, Brian Jr., Shaedrean and Deborah Cunningham, Warren and Jonathan Holden, Leannalynn and Hailie Cunningham, and Makinzie and Haylie George; brothers, Randy (Cheri) Cunningham of Huntsville, Ala., Jeff Cunningham and Scott Cunningham, both of Danville; a niece, Katie Cunningham; and many loving in-laws living in Germany. He was preceded in death by his father.
A graduate from Bismarck High School, Bruce served in the Army Reserves and also attended junior college for two years. He worked and retired from Conway.
Bruce enjoyed fishing, gardening and woodworking. He is an avid Illini fan. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Bruce will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. The family would like to thank everyone who helped during this time of need.
A celebration of Bruce’s life will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville with Pastor Miles Clark officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. A visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville.
