VEEDERSBURG, Ind. —
Mary Lou Hinote, 82, of Veedersburg, passed away at 5:23 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Woodland Manor Nursing Home in Attica, Ind.
Mrs. Hinote was born April 12, 1931, in Veedersburg, the daughter of Blythe and Mary Lowe.
She married Oscar Hinote Nov. 26, 1955, in Veedersburg.
Surviving family include her husband, Oscar Hinote, Veedersburg; son, Kevin Hinote, Veedersburg; daughter, Charlena Jiminez, Danville, Ill.; sister, Betty Jean Harper, Spring Hill, Fla.; four grandchildren, Samantha Stout, Matthew Montel, Todd Ward, Lori Brady; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Mary graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1949. She was employed for 20 years at Marshall Studios in Veedersburg. In her younger years, Mary had enjoyed camping, and she was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Most of all, she loved and enjoyed her family.
She was a longtime member of Prairie Creek Baptist Church.
Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg, with Pastor Loren Stephens officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at the funeral home. Burial at: Rose Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro.
