— Pauline E. Ernst, 96, of Peachtree City, Ga., and formerly of Cayuga, Ind., passed away Monday morning, April 29, 2013, at Southland Nursing Home in Peachtree City.

She was born April 21, 1917, in Vermillion County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Frank and Pearl Murrmann Shelato. Pauline was a 1936 graduate of Cayuga High School.

She married George R. Ernst on Sept. 5, 1942, in Newport, Ind. He preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 1999.

Survivors include two daughters, Estelle (David) Moore of Seattle, Wash., and Irene (Victor) Gaylor of Peachtree City; one son, Bill (Marsha) Ernst of Mount Vernon, Ohio; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Beverly) Shelato of North Fort Myers, Fla., and Max Shelato of Clinton, Ind. Pauline was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Pauline was a former hair stylist, operating a shop in Newport, Ind. She was a member of the Cayuga Christian Church. She was a former member of the Cayuga Bunco Club and the former Delta Theta Tau Sorority. Pauline enjoyed making necklaces/beading, crafts, cooking and baking.
